The design goal
Carry a tabletop investigation into a digital game while preserving the player’s freedom to investigate, choose a route, and live with the consequences.
A world that creates decisions
Mana dust is part of everyday industry as well as a source of danger. In Dustmere, the mine supports the village, while suspended dust, suspicious workers and a hospital tell another part of the story. The setting gives an investigation a physical and social context before the player reaches combat.
Adapt the experience, not just the pages
A tabletop group can improvise a route or ask an unexpected question. A digital adaptation needs to support meaningful alternatives explicitly. The cRPG work focuses on alternative mine entry routes, persistent consequences, and companions with their own agency.
Keep scope visible
The tabletop setting, handbook and adventure provide the source material. The cRPG is an ongoing development project. Concept illustrations communicate a direction; they do not establish a finished level or a completed vertical slice.
